About

Pocket Pixel started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of weird little games we'd stumbled on. At some point we realized the notes we were writing each other were basically reviews, so we put them somewhere public.

We're a tiny editorial team. Nobody here is a marketing department. We buy or download the games ourselves, play them long enough to actually have an opinion, and write about what stuck.

How we pick what to cover is simple: it has to be interesting. Sometimes that means a polished indie hit, sometimes a rough gem with one brilliant idea. We skip the copycat clones and anything that treats your attention like a resource to be drained.

Ratings are just our read, not gospel. If we loved something and you hated it, that's fine — write us and tell us why. We read everything.
